The best way to reach Big Goals
The best way to reach Big Goals
Do you have a big goal you are working towards, a new business idea you want to start or a book you’ve been wanting to write – but you never get the time to commit to it? There is my tip for the best way to reach to reach big goals, and just because it’s simple – doesn’t mean it’s easy!
Take small, daily action towards your biggest dreams.
Often when we want to make improvements in our lives, or complete a big project, we over think things and set ourselves crazy big challenges that last only a few days before they are too hard to maintain.
Life is busy and many of us are juggling, kids, family, day jobs and hundreds of other time consuming commitments. It can be hard to find the time to work on the stuff that really matters to you.
If you are trying to find your way back to work that moves your soul, don’t over commit. Try and be realistic about how much you have time and energy for.
If you have a big goal in mind for this year – GREAT – but break it down into small actions and commit over the long-haul rather than trying to do so much, so fast that you run out of steam.
Start small. But do it with focus and intention.
Even just 10 minutes makes an incredible impact if you commit to doing it every day.
And 10 minutes is doable for all os us. Simply, get out of bed ten minutes earlier, or stay up just ten minutes later each night.
If you wake up to kids each morning set your alarm for 20min before they usually get up. If you wake up to your alarm clock in time to get ready for your day, move it forward, by just 10 minutes or so.
Then use that extra ten minutes to do something that matters to you. If it is working on your business, writing or taking time to create, spend those precious moments doing the work that fulfils you.
It might not seem like a lot, but over the course of a year that is two whole days spent working on the important stuff that you didn’t have before.
I saw this graphic on instagram this week by New Happy Co. and it is a perfect visual reminder for just how small actions can build into something beautiful.
While it’s a great visual – it’s worth jumping over to instagram and reading Stephanie post about it too – HERE.
And as we get back into the swing of our busy lives in 2022, remember that while it can be hard to find time for you and the things that matter to you most – it doesn’t have to be a LOT of time to count. Small, consistent action over time is going to trump big, overwhelming promises to yourself that you realistically can’t keep.
Whatever the goal is – if it matters to you – put it in your calendar or weekly planner.
Your priorities aren’t what you say they are – they are revealed by the actions you actually take.

When goal setting, or business in general can feel overwhelming it’s easy to put all planning in the to-hard- basket. Without a plan though it can be easy to get distracted and that can add to the overwhelm, here is a simple (low key) hack you can try instead.
Pricing is not all about the numbers. You need to consider things like how it affects the perceived value of your work, your positioning in the market place and that you ensure your pricing model is sustainable for you and your business. It is important though that you understand the numbers as a base to build your pricing strategy from.
How do you price your services when your main cost is your time? How do you account for the value you offer or make sure your business overall is actually profitable?
